Getting Stupider by the day
So, CaliValleyGirl and I were chatting tonight, and I was lamenting that I am "getting stupider by the day." I laughed so much at our chat, that I thought I'd just cut & paste. I think it's much funnier that way.

CaliValleyGirl : man....I have no idea what a slap in the face work is going to be like
CaliValleyGirl : I mean...I won't have time to blog...watch DVDs...and blab all the time
TheGirl: all my degrees... always while working full time... it kills me to be so idle. They have these AFN commercials about babies, where it shows their brain waves while they're reading and playing vs. when they're just watching tv. (Obviously, fewer brain waves while watching tv)... OMG that is so me right now. I'm getting stupider by the day!!
Do you think I could blame Oprah for it? I KNOW that it's not "Charmed" doing it!!

Yes, you can blame Oprah. Even though she wants to encourage you to be the best you can be and read books 'n'at, her tv show is sucking out brain matter.

That little info-mercial is sad actually! Here's this poor kid that now for life will be pointed out as the "stupid" kid from the AFN commercial. What's even worse is that a parent let him be the poster child for low brainwave activity....but hey did you know that the state flower of Hawaii is the....? Sorry AFN jokes.
How could you possibly get stupider by watching AFN? You get to learn that military whiskey rations were stopped in 1830 or that France has 400 types of cheese! AFN commercials are sweet!
P.S. If you're getting stupider by the day, I'm in big trouble. I too sit at home...playing Tetris, no less.
