Update

Yesterday, they started to try to wean The Niece of the ventilator. It was the middle of the night our time here in Germany, so I've not been able to get any details on how it went. They've got her oxygen to only 50% now, and she's off the nitrous oxide completely.

And even though she couldn't wear the special pumpkin hat her Aunt made her, it's nearby.

Just found out they have to do a spinal tap on her today, but her chest xrays are looking better.
